Hotel Kivitasku was named after a small bird that lives in the archipelago. The Kivitasku bird is very lively little bird which is characterized by it’s voice.

The hotel has been the unofficial center of Kaarina since the mid-80’s due to it’s central location in the city. Kivitasku started as meeting point hotel, bar, club, restaurant typical to the era. Since moving to the 21st century the hotel has concentrated on providing easy-going and calm accommodation.

In the recent years the hotel has moved towards a more modern direction with its renovated Superior rooms, new lobby and sauna facilities.
